Application
Admission Requirements
- Students must have a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally-accredited institution with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, or be currently admitted to a graduate degree program at ASU.
- Students will need to submit official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts. ASU transcripts do not need to be sent. If a student has already submitted these to ASU, they do not need to resend them.
- Two letters of recommendation must be submitted along with the CSTM Application.
- Preference will be given to students with degrees in business, engineering, the sciences, or public policy.
- Students are encouraged to apply to the certificate program before completing more than 6 credit hours of the required courses for the certificate.
Application Process
Students can pursue the certificate by itself or in combination with a degree program. Either way, an application to the certificate program has to be submitted through the ASU Graduate College. There is a $65 application fee for domestic applicants and an $80 for international applicants.
To appy, open up the online application. The first step in the application process will require you to create an account. Please make sure to select the application type, "Degree/Certificate Seeking Student." Do not select the other option. If you complete the incorrect application, you will need to reapply under the correct application and pay the application fee again.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Students will be notified within 6 weeks about the status of their completed application. If students want to begin taking courses in fall, it is suggested they apply no later than July 1st. For a spring start, it is suggested that students apply no later than December 1st. For a summer start, it is suggested students apply no later than April 1st.
